CHRISTMAS invites Charm, Shakes, and Walks in KTM Dwellers

Chiranjeevee Pokhrel For DCnepal, Dec 25 2015 - In Kathmandu, distinct shakes charm, shakes and walks were observed on the auspicious occasion of Christ’s birthday – Christmas, today. Christians along with the devotees of other religions enjoyed Christmas by group dance, group chanting, fest, musical programs and giving well-wishes to each other at Kathmandu, on the  auspicious occasion of Christmas, today.



All where in restaurants, shopping malls, movie theaters, there were crowds of Christianity in buy and sale. They have enjoyed by conveying well wishes, putting on beautiful and some funny wearings, and eating delicious food items.



A young girl, participant in the Christmas program, Ms.Mamata Shakya says, "This is Santa Claus (indexing her own right cheek). As it is said in the story, the figure that offers gifts for children. I celebrated Christmas by enjoying with the people at Church in talk, chanting, and getting together."



Another participants of Christmas program Mr. Kishor Rai says, "We celebrated Christmas specially by dancing, singing, and giving good messages of Christmas. The major part of Christmas is to conveying the good message to each other about Yeshu (Jesus Christ) which we have done today."



The celebrations were most noticeable at malls, movie theaters, restaurants, restaurants and churches. Christmas Day is a gazetted holiday in Nepal.
People attended Churches spending time with family members and relatives, wearing clothes and eating festival meal.



Some families exchanged gifts; some gave presents to small children. They decorated celebration spot by setting Christmas Tree, beautiful colorful lamps and so on. Some made bushes with different coloured lights.



All the government offices, almost all private schools, colleges and most of the private organizations were closed for the celebration of Christmas in Nepal. As the winter is increasing people have given time to family on the open sunlight in this holiday.
