No matter what, we sang and listened to one new song after another that young and creative musicians offered us. Unlike Nepali film industry that is struggling to get quality audience, the reach of songs in Nepali society is vast: people from the street to the palace enjoy Nepali songs with equal enthusiasm. Mail Today team visits several crucial spots in the city to take stock of security arrangements ahead of Republic Day.The Delhi Police have turned Rajpath and other important buildings into a fortress ahead of Republic Day celebrations, but most of the cars entering the Capital remain unchecked despite cops installing barricades at all exit-entry points and sensitive locations.A PCR van of both Noida and Delhi Police were stationed but there was no one at the barricades to check the cars. Installation of barricades however caused queue of vehicles as traffic slowed down here. Cops present at the spot were busy managing the trucks ushering them towards the MCD booths for tax collection.
