: In 2007, IOS iphone OS was unveiled and In 2008 IOS 2 was released. The release of the App Store in 2008 where user can browse and then download apps directly on the device. In the year 2009 IOS 3 was launched together with iphone 3GS. Features like push notifications for 3rd party apps, MMS, voice control, USB and Bluetooth tethering was introduced and the most of this feature have stayed on IOS till today. IOS 4 was released with multitasking, retina and face time support in the year 2010 for iphone 4 .
In the year 2011 Apple came up with most impressive update with siri as an iphone 4s feature. Apple also released the Notification Center and the sleek notification bar. In 20012 iOS 6 was released with features like Do Not Disturb mode, Guided Access, panorama photos on the native camera app. In 2013 IOS 7 was released with features like Notification Centre, multitasking options, camera to shoot in all formats, iCloud photo sharing, Air Drop . IOS 8 and 8.1 was released in 2014 with much advance features and iOS 8.1 is the latest operating system for IOS.
