Evolution of mobile operating system starts with the release of palm OS v.1.0 in 1976 that featured date book, memo-pad and To do list. Later in 1997 palm os version 2.0 was released with added feature mail and expenses. In 1998 palm os was further updated with hotsync support, web clipping and native 8-bit color and in 2001 it featured 16-bit native color and external file system. In year 2000 pocket pc was presented by windows as their first cell phone later in the year 2002 window featured msn messenger and media player in their pocket PC. In 2002 palm released their version 5.0 with bluetooth and in 2004 they released palm OS cobalt with wifi and bluetooth connectivity added.
